We have written a custom real-time operating system capable of running on even the smallest 8-pin micro. Code development is done in a mixture of C and assembler, whichever is appropriate for your application.
For more powerful devices that require wireless connectivity to the internet we use Sierra Wireless CPU's running OpenAT.
Inter-device networking is achieved using Modbus over serial (RS-232 and RS-485) and TCP/IP protocol stacks. All of our embedded systems are capable of running the Modbus application protocol.

Feasibility studies and process optimisation
We strongly believe in the benefits of data driven decision making. However all too often the collection and analysis of data is forgotten in the rush to design, build and commission new equipment. We help our clients by taking them through the process of data collection. We analyze the data by developing mathematical models of the process. And this leads us to predict, with greater certainty, which design paths to take before any money is spent on purchasing equipment.
Maintenance procedures
Over the last 18 months we have been consulting to SA Steelworks facilitating Continuos Improvement workshops for the improvement of their maintenance procedures. They have rolled out our Reliability Centered Maintenance software package, which they use for tracking maintenance jobs, spares lists, inspection and replacement procedures.
